Ron Paul gives Newt Gingrich yet another beat-down:

http://www.youtube.com/user/ronpaul#p/a/u/0/hRdqGKA782A

Ouch! Gingrich better hope Paul doesn't air that ad in Iowa...
Even though it didn't come from the Romney camp, best campaign ad of the cycle. Romney should be paying Paul to run that in Iowa.

The line "Once you've been Speaker of the House, you're always an insider" will be great in future ads.

I love how half the political commentators chastise him for being a radical tea partier and the other half frame him as a big government GOP establishment guy. But Ron Paul does realize he's been in Congress forever as well right? lol

Yeah, and he's been there long enough to normally be entitled to chairmanship of a full committee.  However, the House Republican leadership has denied him a committee chairmanship every time he's become eligible for one (they finally allowed him one subcommittee after the last election).  Even his long tenure merely proves how much the establishment hates him.

To be fair, ratings systems shouldn't be government-run.

What about the Fed oversight chairmanship?

This. Talk about a waste of money. I bet 50% of the 320 views on YouTube are from Santorum's sole supporter, and the rest of the 50% are from the rest of this forum.

Ouch. It is really hard to see Obama overcoming ads like this. I know it is really early, but I really think we're looking at a landslide loss for the president.

More obnoxious than anything, and what is Mitt's job plan? Last I checked he had more experience laying people off and personally profiting from it than creating anything, and he's suppose to be the alternative? What a joke.

It's hilarious how Santorum lists Beck and Palin support as positives. And also that Bachmann doesn't expect her supporters to know how to vote.

The Romney ads are generally high quality.

Backed by distinguished economists from Harvard and Columbia, here is Mitt's 59-point economics plan:

Great myth in your attempt to push European-style class warfare, but it does not jive with the real world. In the real world, some businesses succeed and some fail. Mitt's company saved many more businesses than they lost, and literally hundreds of thousands of jobs were created (and saved) in the process.

Those "How to caucus" videos are standard; Hillary and Obama both had them in '08 and I'm sure the other Republicans have them now or will soon.

What it really is a collection of the opinions of some conservative commentators and some facts in a certain context. Obama could easily produce an ad with the opinions of liberal commentators and some other facts in different contexts.

Fair enough, although the Democratic system is a bit weird so there it is understandable.

I guess it was more that the post gave the impression that Bachmann had given up on convincing people to vote for her and resigned to just making the few people intending to understand how to do it.

I mean..."remember the date!" yeah, if your supporters can't do that then what good are they? Wink

I see that you're totally avoiding the point that he layed other people off for a living. That's not class warfare, that's a fact.

I know you are accustomed to Eurosclerosis and blithely blinded by your belief in Big Brother, but lines like the above do not work in America. Here is a quick question for our rational thinkers on here:

What is better: A company goes bankrupt and everybody in the company loses their job, or a company is restructured, restored to profitability and is able to grow and employ more people down the road?

In the real world, some businesses succeed and some businesses fail. Some are able to comeback from downturns and some are not. Obviously layoffs suck, that goes without saying, but sometimes they are necessary in order to get a company back onto a path that will lead to success. Otherwise, the company goes under and everybody in the company loses their job.

Go and say that to someone who Mitt Romney fired. "Oh, it's alright my friend, atleast that business is still goin'. Shame about you though." That's how it's framed in terms of electoral politics, Romney's gonna get swift-boated by this.
