Except Obama is seen "debunking" those "lies" with the same old empty rhetoric he always uses. He doesn't point to any results.

And that excess-rhetoric is probably Obama's most vulnerable characteristic--people know he's a speech-giver. I don't think that ad is the gem that the Obama camp probably thinks it is.

Instead of hinting at crap, why don't Democrats just come out and say what's on their mind?

"We want Mitt Romney to release his tax returns so we can all point out how rich he is!"

Of course, they won't say that outright--if they do, it pretty much is class warfare. I just think it's so funny that they dance around their true intent. Everyone knows exactly why Romney won't release them--he doesn't want to play into Obama's distraction.

Why did it take BHO so long to release his birth certificate? Because it was a stupid, made-up issue. Same goes for this.

This will have no effect on Independents or Democrats. But I will say this--it is an exceptional way to excite the GOP base. Lots of us don't like Obama because of his policies. But the reason why a lot of us hate Obama is because of absolutely everything in that ad.

Definitely the singing. But it all contributes to that celeb image.

I don't know what it is about Obama that invites such criticism for things all other presidents do.  How is the president supposed to not be a celebrity? Romney has been singing non-stop on the campaign trail by the way.

yeah, but people don't treat Romney like the second coming of Christ for it.

Lol. I may be from the "Reactionary Party," but if if you ask me, it's one step ahead of BHO's Diversionary Party. So I'll take it.

Those are spectacular ads.

And that last one couldn't be closer to my personal feelings on this Osama stuff.

excuse me, but that last one is exactly what Obama has done to the bin Laden issue.

You can trololol all the way to November 6th, but it won't change anything.

Not a bad ad, though I do wish they'd be more specific about the reforms and the health care replacement.

Just because someone isn't familiar with the issues doesn't mean that person can't be a good executive. I trust Palin more as a decision maker than Obama.

At least Palin knew how to be in charge of something.

I also guarantee the vast majority of Americans would have wildly preferred Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama, a man who had no qualifications to be President.

Folks, all I was saying was that it's fine to say "more Americans would have preferred not to have Palin as VP" as long as you recognize that they also would have preferred not to have Obama as the Dem nominee.

In today's world, Abraham Lincoln never would have been elected. He was too wishy-washy on that slavery stuff. Youtube would've ended this guy's career pretty fast.

Or was that your point?

I think the problem is in the connotation of the words being used. I'm okay with fighting the "smears"--it's politics, and everyone expects there to be some smear tactics.

But to insinuate that your own obvious smears are "truth"? That's going a bit overboard. And it's these little maneuvers that will pile up and make Obama look like a weasel.

Another entry for "The Most Arrogant Man in the World" TV series:

You just can't make this stuff up!

I know it's mostly rhetoric... but I think Romney is really onto something when he talks about how Obama wants to divide the country.

"Let's assume all your friends are liberals who will donate to something we can all appreciate." My Lord. Most of my friends support Obama... but we can get over our political differences because we are friends. BUT if anyone invited me to a party and asked me to donate to Obama instead of give them a gift, I probably wouldn't even bother showing up.

Would maybe be nice if they could say HOW exactly Obama has been fighting to get us out of this recession. I gotta laugh at these ads from both sides. They are so transparently hollow it's ridiculous.

Except no one cares much about Romney's flip-flops. As Biden said, Obamacare is a BFD that people already hate. Now that it's a tax, it's even more hatable. People who were on the fence about Obamacare now have another reason to hate it (they of course won't know two cent's worth about the bill--they'll just hate it because of how it's now being spun).

The tide is turning, buddy:

Maybe they agree that the mandate is constitutional as a tax. And half the country being against something is pretty much in line with me saying people hate it.
