I mean not only in the lottery, but online-gaming, poker or just any sort of thing as well where you can win a prize.

If you won a car or something non-monetary, just look up or guess what the price would be (normally option 2-5).

PS: If you inherited a large amount of money or non-monetary, it does NOT count. Only winning something by "luck" or "skills".

...

As for me, I have once won about 800€ in the lottery, which is something like 1100$.

I´m not playing in the lottery very often, maybe every 3 months or so.

But I never won a jackpot yet ... Tongue

What about you ? Anyone very lucky among us ?

On the other hand, inheriting something from your parents or relatives while showing skills during your work in your relatives's company or something might also be considered "winning".

So, I think you can vote if that is the case.

9000 Swiss Francs on a radio quiz together with my mom. That's about $ 10000 at the moment.

A couple hundred at roulette, I can't remember exactly how much. What a fun game that is...I had almost nothing left and threw it all on 16 and won. That's when I walked...otherwise it would have been the worst game ever.

Is it an Austrian or "Euro" thing to put the currency after the amount? I've never seen this in the US (or, for that matter, any Anglophone country).

Most likely, yes. I write it as I speak it. I've never done it the other way round.

Zero. I illegally put one quarter into a slot machine in a Nevada border town near Death Valley when I was about 12, financed by my father who was looking on, and lost. Since then I have sworn off gambling - the experience was that traumatic.

Oh poker playing with the boys, and the booze and the pot and the jive chat. I played that a few times, and usually seemed to come out ahead for some odd reason. I am maybe about $200 in the black doing that. Smiley

I went to the casino once with a couple friends and put $10 in a slot machine and maxed out the bet and got a bonus round on the first hit... I won $75 or so.. so I cashed out and treated everyone to dinner.

My mom won me a Timon & Pumbaa mini-game when I was like, nine, if that counts for anything.

I never gambled. I've played poker for money once or twice and won like 100 SEK (like $14).

And in Sweden you always put the currency after the amount. Makes more sense, since that is how one says it. Smiley

I voted 1,000- 10,000 because Ive had a few nice days at the track and in blackjack.  However, I did somehow manage to receive and maintain (3.5 gpa) a full tuition scholarship whilst partying way, way too much- that is a skill of sorts.
