I find such comments annoying -- the subtle implication that the only way a woman can have any important influence is by influencing her husband or boyfriend...or other men in general.  Though I find the message to be more pronounced in the bullsh**t faux-feminism that gets pumped out by Hollywood and the media in general.

Maybe some of us have had our fill of sluts and want someone that is intelligent, graceful, classy, loyal, and most of all not crazy.  We are talking about the mother of your children here, not just a wet hole to stick your penis in.  I've had all kinds of deviant kinky sex with hot women.  The problem with all of those girls was they were crazy.  At this point I want someone that I can trust with my children and bank account.  Sex is important but it is my no means the number one determinant.

I hate to be cliché but anyone that is old enough and experienced enough knows you don't get married to have sex.
