Sometime tonight I'll have mine!  It's amazing how important 3 little numbers could be.

162 - not as high as I wanted, but my goal was at least 160, so I'm decently satisfied.

What's the required number to get in?

some of these cultures are quite repressive, though.  pervasive is the idea that one's worth is reflected in commodities like LSAT Scores, and, ultimately, Law School admission.  at least it is here, I don't know where Inks goes to school.  my 160 would be interpreted as an abject failure by many of my colleagues despite it being better than 4 of 5 kids who take the test, and those kids are of course a part of an abnormally well-educated and affluent segment of the young adult population.

I never figured getting in would be a problem, but I was hoping to get a fair amount of scholarship money.

Holy crap… I wasn’t aware I could have gotten into all but Harvard, Yale and Columbia with my LSAT score!

Well I took it... 2 years ago when I wanted to expand my options and considered escaping Australia.

I got a 169.

I'm taking it in December because I waited too long to sign up for the October test (and by too long I mean I assumed incorrectly that there would still be spots open less than 40 miles away two months before the actual test date). Actually kind of enjoying studying for it though, as it's a nice change of pace from my usual homework (which is reading history books/articles). The logic games are actually sort of fun.

I registered in late August for the October (October 1st)... there must be a lot of LSAT takers or not a lot of test areas around you.

My last year of undergrad, I was able to take the GRE six blocks away...my roommate who was taking the LSAT had to go to Richmond, VA.  Tongue

Yeah, basically every undergrad in DC takes the LSAT. The closest test site that was still open about a month and a half before the test was Baltimore, and fck if I'm getting a hotel in Baltimore for a night just to take a test.

If I may ask, why are so many of you interested in going to law school? It's a big pile of debt with a terrible job market.

Kind of besides the point, but does anyone know how long GRE scores are valid for?
