I see there's something of a Bradley effect here.

Cain is, either the most insane candidate, or the most brilliant politician in decades.
Hell, maybe both.

Cain is in the unique position of being both intelligent and ignorant. He knows how to run a business but doesn't know anything about public policy.

He is a terrible politician but doesn't know it. And his candidacy isn't a joke - he really wants to win and thinks he will.

Also, why is Romney not included, while Huntsman is?

Huntsman is crazy for believing he has a chance of winning.

Maybe the question should be the most sane GOP candidate?

Everyone knows the answer to that question. Wink
There is one?

Not an adjective I ever used in conjunction with Romney.

He's not insane. He's just corrupt... to the core.

Bachmann, easily.

Perry, Cain, and Santorum have a lot of crazy ideas but aren't themselves crazy.

Paul certainly has his moments, but in the aggregate, isn't that far off, it's his presentation that is a bit weird sometimes.

Nothing insane about Johnson, Huntsman, or Romney.  Those three are on a spectrum from rocksauce (Johnson) to fake f*** (Romney) with Huntsman splitting the difference.

Romney should be a choice. He basically has multiple personality disorder at this point.

Excluding RP, a tossup between Bachmann and the Ayatollah.
