Not at all. But then I suppose I'm dreading the whole thing starting in just a few weeks...

Nah. It's an amusing meme but it'll be over soon anyway since I suspect Cain to crash and burn harder than Dean when things start for real.

I hope he can at least win Iowa. I think the victory speech would be pretty badass and the atmosphere for the ensuing days until NH pretty enthralling (akin to what we all experienced in 2008).

Couldn't care less. I kind of hope he wins nomination though, as that would make Obama's campaign even easier.

Truer today than it was yesterday.

Nah. I was actually surprised to find out he's leading in some polls in both Iowa and South Carolina.

My take is that it's Romney vs. Obama. If Romney wins, great. If Obama wins, then 2016 will be one of the greatest campaigns in history. I can see myself supporting Bush, Rubio, Christie and many many others, giving a plethora of choices instead of a meager few.

Obsessed? No. Far from it.

But the "U-beki-beki-beki-beki-stan-stan" thing has led me to keep an eye out for his other foreign policy pronouncements for my own amusement.

You know, when this started out, I was basically supporting him as a joke. But now I genuinely feel excitement when he leads polls and genuinely feel anger when someone dismisses him or his candidacy. Not really sure how this happened, but I think I've somehow gone from ironically supporting the guy to actually rooting for him.

We live in the post-ironic age. No one really knows what's ironic and what isn't.

I can't decide if it's hilarious or tragic that he's considered a semi-legitimate candidate. Probably both.
