Two miners picketing outside a mine owned by Rhodes & Londonderry Mining Inc. were shot dead by two unidentified men in dark suits earlier today.

Investigations reveal that the miners were shot by an individual with connections to a radical anarcho-syndicalist group - which is trying to blame it on Rhodes & Londonderry.

In other news, Rhodes & Londonderry has decided to shut down its US operations, and lay off all the striking workers... (BUST!).

TRIBUNE[/color]

Coal Crisis Updates

Police have strongly denied rumours by a certain politician with little knowledge of what's been going on that the shooting was done by "anarcho-syndicalists" and have urged said politician to: "quit going on about conspirocy theories and wrecking the investigation"

The names of the two miners have been released: Bill F Jones jr (32) and Joe O'Conner (41).

Rhodes and Londonderry have denied that they are about to pull out of U.S operations and have also denied rumours of an FBI probe into the corperations finances.

The NUM is alledged to be considering "co-operatising" the mines in question.

Police reports indicate that the entire strike is being made up by Senator Al in a bid for political awarness of labor issues.

To make things more interesting and add depth basically. The shooting is unrealistic (especially quite how blatent it was) but most of the foreign policies crisises various GM's have cooked up have been pretty unrealistic as well.

Wouldn't mind, especially if I lose the election. Good to have something to do besides managing a small-ish business empire and mocking Al...

well, I'll give Daniel the same opportunity I gave Jake. Send me a PM with 200 words or so saying why you want it and some ideas and ideals for the role, and also two scenarios-one large, one small. I will then advise the President of my choice. If any other candidates want it, they'd better hurry up.

Sorry but I gotta say that Al's scenario isn't realistic but still beats anything done by any other GM except The Vorlon, hands down.

As for those two miners: Rumours have it that they were actually scabs who committed suicide when they understood the moral implications of their behaviour.
