As the 4th richest man, I will add a second conference

The Northeast Division
Manhattan Traders
New England Nerds
Maryland Aknos

Southern Division
Tennessee Countrymen
Carolina Fire
Miami Security

Midwest Division
Green Bay Cheeseheads
Chicago Wind
Cleveland Dawg Pound

King, we should combine these somehow.

BTW, I have a really strange idea. If we could match up each of these teams with a real team, and pick a year, I could use Whatifsports.com and simulate a season.

As one of teh 10 rechest (I can't remember ny exact spot) I would like to sponsor a three team divison:

Dixie Division
Florida Oranges
Memphis Blues
Texas Black Gold

We need to combine it all now.
How about everyone gets one team?

No...that's not going to work. I suggested Melissa Brown Memorial Field but I think a certain member would not like that name.   Smiley

When people buy the teams they can name the stadium.

King, I think it would be wise to keep teams where they are. We spent 2 hours getting the alignment right.

If it's not already obvious, I own the Baltimore Akno's, and they play at Paul S. Sarbanes Stadium in the heart of downtown.

King, I already trademarked the three team names I proposed, so unless we can reach an accomodation, you aren't going to have a team named the Florida Oranges.  I've also take the liberty of trademarking Florida Orange, Florida Juice, Florida Citrus, Florida Grapefruit, Florida Tangerines, Flordia Lemons, Florida Limes, and Florida Key Limes, as well as each of those team names for Tampa, Tampa Bay, Orlando, and Miami in connection with professional sports teams just to cover all the bases.  It's amazing how much piece of mind a little money can buy you under trademark law.

Very well. The Jacksonville Monsters it is, although theoretically the owner could change the name.

Why Mississippi Yalls?  I must say, that's a very silly name.

How about Those Loyal to Harry?
Or Jackson Bandits was a cool name

Jackson Bandits sounds better. Those Loyal to Harry isn't a name of a sports team.

Harry, buy the Mississippi franchise in any event.

The Mid-Atlantic News Network will purchase the TV contract for the Atlantic, South and Northeast games for 50 million dollars. Defined as who is the away team.

In the stadium is a museum of Harry memoribilia from his presidential campaign.
No, that stuff is still in a warehouse in Maryland.

wait, you have more stuff?  could you donate some?  I'll trade off some Akno-specific memorablia to the Baltimore Aknos
Ooh. I hate to break it to you, but, um, when we had my Senate rally a few weeks ago, we kinda, um, took some spray paint and crossed out the words Harry and President. Hope you don't mind

Just kidding. Sure, I'll FedEx it to Jackson ASAP.

League Announcement:

The way the season will work is that every team will be a real NFL team, such as 2003 Denver Broncos. Then the games will be simulated on whatifsports.com.

Every owner please choose a team to be. First preference goes to teams from that city, for example, I have first dibs on any Baltimore team. Aside from that, first come, first serve. Also, no NFL franchise can be represented more than once.

I am the 2000 Baltimore Ravens. Now, no one else can be the Ravens, from any year.

They have to be near us? Darnit, I can't be the Patriots from last season then I take it? Sad They are the only team I really know other than the 49'ers

I'll be the 49'ers from 1994.....

You could be the Pats, but the Boston team gets first dibs.

For an extra 20 million dollars, we will pick up the Midwest and Pacific games as well.

Okay then has anyone taken the '85 Bears yet?

Nope, but remember, locals get first preference...... Smiley

Is that division locals or state locals? Because there isn't a team from Illinois if the latter is the case.

I think City Locals, heh, so you should be cool Smiley.

Yes, you are cool

The Cascades need an owner, I'll step in, for 8 million.

I want them to be the 1997 Kansas City Chiefs.

I'd like to buy the Maine Coastals.  I still have to decide on a team to pair them with, though...

Welcome. 7.9 million sound good?

I'll also buy the Wisconsin Independence if they are availible.
Sure.
In the interest of starting early, people can own more than 1 team, but it is my hope that we will sell off extra teams to new owners if they want a team.

I'll take the '67 Packers and the Independence will play in Lambeau Field where else?

Ok. They would play at Lambeau anyhow, teams come with the stadium they played in.

MANN has purhcased the TV contracts for all games in which Atlantic, Northeast, Southern, or Midwestern Division teams are away for 40 million dollars. We will also be broadcasting games for those teams at a cost of 15 million dollars.

King:

I'm buying the Ohio Riverside, moving them to Fort Wayne, and renaming them to the 'Fort Wayne Way-Better-Than-Thous'.

I have basis to sue Angry Wink

You see, to buy the team...you have to bid...you didn't bid a dime so Colin got it...

You didn't offer anything, or ask how much I'd pay Smiley

Buy a different team.
