I can't think of a single time I've seen him give an intelligent answer to a question that shows he knew more than the average schmuck who watches the news.

Condemning the name of Perry's ranch might be his most lucid moment.

I was going to say when speaking about his glorious 999 plan, but he actually seems pretty ignorant of what that is too.

This is why Cain can connect with the American people.

i can't think of any issue where Gov Perry sounded less ignorant that Cain. The 10 year governor of one of our largest states. Horrifying.

It's not so much ignorance as stupid pandering. He tries too hard to appeal to the baggers and the general public on a lot of issues, and he's just not slick enough to pull it off (see: abortion; mexican bug zappers). Of course compared to Mitt, Gov. Steers & Queers and Bible Spice he's like a virtuoso.

Someone needs to ask him what a pizza looks like. If he has trouble answering, it's because he cannot effectively communicate. If he can, then he simply is a political dumb (and Federal Reserve insider at the same time).

Cain is slowly getting better, but there really isn't much depth there on anything really. I would have explained his 9-9-9 plan in an almost entirely different way than he did.  He is slowly getting better on that too, but his presentation is still mostly a confused mess. I understand what he is trying to get at, but that is only because I am a sometimes tax lawyer (a real tax lawyer, not a tax return preparer like Bachmann), and have read a couple of books on tax policy, and the issue of how much corporate taxes are passed on in the form of higher prices, and how much of it reduces return on capital, and so forth.

They really ought to ask him a series of ''gotcha'' questions to test him out.

Could he pick out countries like Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan on a blank map?

Does he know which countries in the world have nuclear weapons, and those who are not signatories to the NPT? Does he know what the NPT is?

Does he know the name of the leader of Germany, The UK, China, Russia, Brazil, India, Mexico or Canada?

Sean Hannity asked him about his relative inexperience in foreign policy, and Cain responded with attitude ''Do you think I'm stupid enough to NOT read up on this stuff?''

I think he probably is stupid enough.

I think he probably is stupid enough.

It is more laziness - rich people are incredibly lazy.

No to all. Somebody should ask him the NPT question though.

I don't think his pro-choice position was ignorant.

This is why Cain can connect with the American people.

Basically, he sounds normal.

(The upshot is that the average guy on the street can't run the country.)
