Here's a better chart:

1st row is GDP growth
2nd row is Unemployment rate
3rd row is budget balance
4th row is debt as a percentage of GDP

1st graphic: GDP growth higher/lower than EU-average
2nd graphic: Unemployment rate higher/lower than EU-average
3rd graphic: Maastricht-Criteria of 3% deficit - higher or lower
4th graphic: Maastricht-Criteria of 60% debt - higher or lower

Sorry, this picture is from the APA (Austrian Press Agency).

And they only provide this small preview. If you want the larger version, you have to register at the APA page and buy them ... Sad

Very interesting that Sweden managed to decrease their debt from 42% in 2009 to a projected 32% in 2013.

...

Also, tax revenue so far this year might indicate that Austria will already be at the Maastricht-criteria of 3% deficit this year. I think it will be somewhere between 2.5-3.5% deficit, depending on how much the economy cools down in Q3 and Q4.

We basically did very little stimulating so our deficit never became very big and now we're back in surplus country again.
