Christian rights I've talked to today are divided between "Gloria Allred is a nut" and "Cain is a sinner."

The question is whether only one of the above is true, or both.

Wow, Mitt Romney finds some woman with a connection to Cain and pays her to spew utter bullsh!t. He'll do anything to try to derail the Cain Train!

You're about two months past the point where pretending to be a Cain supporter would be either funny or original.

Any of you catch the part near the end of the press conference where the woman is complimented about her hair by a reporter and she says "Oh thanks just got it done!!!"

This is a lie.

MMmmm... Actually what really happened was a FEMALE reporter asked her to please move her hair off her face.  She used a hand to move it out of her face and responded that she just got it done.  The FEMALE reporter then said it looks beautiful.  I watched the video on FOX!

All associations of this scandal are with Perry and Obama, not Romney.

Romney is not going to risk everything over this sordid stuff.

Forgive me, but have you seen this accuser?  Either she's lying through her teeth, or Cain just lost what little respect I had for him.

You need to picture her in 1997, about fourteen years ago.

Obama would welcome Cain as a presidential nominee from GOP.

Cain being popular and visible with Tea Partiers detracts from arguments that those same people are racially-motivated in their opposition to Obama. Obviously Obama would have loved to face Cain, but everybody who is reality-based knows, and knew before this scandal hit, that there was no chance of that happening.

With that said, association does not imply guilt. However, Perry has his back to the wall and needs to soon become the anti-Romney again if he wants any chance of making this a race rather than a blowout.

Lmao, you honestly think that Obama was worried that he couldn't paint the Tea Party as racist? Please, Obama has no reason to bring down Cain at this point. He only benefits the President as he could make Romney sweat a little and in effect underscores how weak of a frontrunner he is.

Perry on the other hand.....your right about.

The association with Obama is weak and I do not necessarily believe what I wrote. If I had to bet on which campaign is fueling this, I would bet heavily on Perry. The only reason Perry's squad has not dug up dirt on Romney is because he's a squeaky clean Mormon.

(Seriously, though, I'm still withholding judgment.)

Is it ok if I borrow this?

No, I don't think I will forgive you for that. So what causes you to lose respect (potentially) for Cain is the fact that he assaulted a woman that you don't find at all attractive? And you post this 'interesting' thought on a public forum?

I borrowed it; my apologies, I hadn't intended to pass it off as my own work.

Brother Cain's campaign seems to be going on the offense against Woman #4:

As Politico notes, this is a weird type of attack against a "civilian", rather than a rival candidate.  Why get into a public fight over the accuser's character?  But then, this isn't a normal campaign, and they haven't exactly been using the normal playbook.

Cain is using personal attacks and excessive hyperbole like any good forum troll would when cornered.

Politico miss the obvious, as they usually do. It is a very, very common thing to do (when possible) when accused of sexual assault (and also rape, of course). Because we've made a world in which many people believe that only the only women who can be attacked are saints.
