The interesting thing to point out is how well the GOP did in the races for State Senate. The DemocRATs HEAVILY gerrymandered the State Senate districts to increase their chances of holding the Senate, yet even with that it wasn't enough.

Strangely, everyone here was harping that holding the Senate was an amazing thing that showed HOW BLUE VA is now and how OBAMA is the dear leader again.

The Democrats SHOULD have won in a blowout with the gerrymandered districts that they created. So barely holding on or losing is actually a HUGE loss.

This is the first time this has happened since the 1950s.

It looks like the GOP took every county row office as well. STUNNING!

The AP finally corrected their numbers. They are now showing the same thing that the State BOE is showing.

There is a pattern with this in the AP's election results. They are in such a hurry to try to pad the democrat's numbers, that they make mistakes (or deliberately fabricate results to create controversy.)

If anything this will push Reeves margin up well outside of a recount range.

In 2006, Allen got 66% in this precinct.

In 2008, McCain got 63%

In 2009, McDonnell got 73%

And in 2007, Republican Chris J. Yakabouski split the precinct nearly 50-50 against Houck while losing Spotsylvania County as a whole 46%-54%

So the Precinct is more Republican than the County at large, which is already massively Republican to begin with.

Reeves margin went up in recanvassing. There were additional tabulation errors in Spotsylvania county that resulted in another 144 votes for him.

He's ahead by over 200 votes now. An 86 vote lead was virtually insurmountable as it was. 200+ is way, way too much for any recount. I doubt Houck even asks for one now.

New Totals:

Reeves 22,610
Houck 22,386

I think recanvassing is done now.

Of course, we can't stand to have those mean dissenting views in here... Much better to have an echo chamber...

This is a "democrat-'leaning'" board after all. ("Leaning" LOL!)

This is nonsense, and you know it. When it looked like the Dems were going to hold the Virginia Senate, we had post after post cheering that development (virtually all written like a 12 year old cheering a scripted wrestling match) and mocking Republicans. Then when all of the sudden Reeves wins, its complete silence, crickets from the other side. I post a few rather mild posts from the other side, and the first response is BAN HIM BAN HIM!!!! (Kinda like BURN HER, BURN THE WITCH!)

This place has always been an echo chamber. You keep a few Romney-type Republicans around so that you can maintain the facade of impartiality and objectiveness and call yourselves "democrat-leaning," but the pattern has shown that every-time someone truly challenges the beliefs of the left on this site, there is a call for them to be banned.
