The number of "free" delegates that Mittens will be getting seems to be "surging." The latest state to cull names from the ballot is Virginia.

Anyhoo, a clean Paul v Romney contest should be fun. All you anti-Mittens folks (and you seem to be everywhere), will finally have but one man to rally around!  Tongue

My favorite part: the lawsuit would've been accepted had they filed it earlier. What a bunch of clowns, these ABRs.

This is an outrage!

But I'm sure the democracy-hating Mittbots will applaud this decision.

If you can't manage matters to even secure your name on the ballot, that is hardly a good portent for your management skills as POTUS is it?  In any event, the law is the law, and I don't care who is on the ballot in VA anyway, since I already know the outcome of this nomination race. Newtie I think has blown it in at least 3 states now.

No, just Virginia. He isn't on the ballot in the Missouri primary, but that's a beauty contest that doesn't award any delegates.

Oh, it was Huntsman who failed to qualify for the AZ ballot. My bad.

And that wasn't due to lack of signatures, it was because he forgot to get his signature notarized.

Looks like Paul has a decent shot to win at least one primary.

Polls show Romney with a large lead over Paul in head-to-heads in both NC and SC, so I assume Virginia would be somewhat similar.

I mean, Virginia is going to be a battleground state this fall. If you can't even get 10,000 signatures there, how the heck do you think you're going to be able to compete with Obama's machine there this fall? This only shows the educated voter which candidates are organized and ready to compete and which are not.

If Romney and Paul were the only ones left, you'd be right, but there will be at least one conservative with a sizable vote still running.  I expect those people will largely, but not entirely cast a vote against Romney by voting for their only other option, Paul.  It's not a slam dunk for Paul, but he has a decent chance.
