okay then, just don't call what's established by the current bill a caucus either, IMO.

Just call them "partisan caucuses" or "party caucuses" or something, if there's an issue with just calling them caucuses.

I am now formally proposing this amendment to the legislation. I think Marokai basically said he accepts it as friendly already, but let's just be sure... Wink

I suggest Yankee and I become co-sponsors to show party support for this bill. Smiley

I'll probably open this up for final voting soon-ish, so this may be the last chance to offer any further amendments, change the nomenclature, or whatever.

That would be fine, as long as the process of doing so doesn't significantly delay the final vote.

I have no problem adopting you two as Sponsors, if that helps the process move along.

I'm not aware of any. Co-sponsors are secondary to the primary sponsor (in this case Marokai) anyway. It's mostly symbolic. Tongue I'll go ahead and modify the original post accordingly. Wink

I think debate is done but I'll wait until tomorrow just in case.

Unless I'm forgetting something, co-sponsors serve no procedural purpose. The only Senator that matters for the OSPR is whoever actually posted the bill in the introduction thread (or, whoever becomes the new sponsor if that Senator rescinds sponsorship or leaves office). Smiley

This has enough votes to pass. Senators have 24 hours to change their vote.

I see no reason not to, though I maintain my dismay over the somewhat petty way in which parts of this debate were conducted.

Aye.
