I'm starting to think Bushie might not be coming home to a job.

You're right, I probably won't be coming home to a job.  I'll be coming home to a career.

I'm up early this morning so I can monitor the email.  I expect a job offer to come through my inbox this morning and if and when it does, I need to accept it and send it back extremely quickly as they can't do anything further until I do.  My Talent Acquisition is based in Washington, DC, so I'm really operating on Eastern time right now and it's already 7:15 ET and inside of business hours.  The manager pretty much told me without telling me I have a job.  She said she can't jump the gun, but is already talking to me like I'm a part of the team.

HALLELUJAH!! As of 8:10 am Thursday, March 8, 2012, I was told by the talent acquisition lead for Dell Service Federal Government based in Washington, DC that I have been hired and am now waiting on the official job offer letter.  God is awesome!!!!!  Projected start date is this Monday, March 12, 2012.  It could potentially be Thursday, March 15, 2012 depending on how fast they can get the offer letter to me and I can turn it around.

Life must be depressing when you believe all your successes comes from a magical man in the sky who you have no control over and all your failures are completely your fault.

This is very true. Also, what about all the other people who are looking for work to support their families? Should they be praising because you gained employment?

God had nothing to do with it. If anything, this is the work of the devil.

No, it would appear my longevity on this forum is no longer tied to death points, but rather to my ability to suppress the personality of my inner child, which I have pledged to curb.

You misread my post, my talent acquisition contact is in DC, but I am staying right here in the best city in America, Oklahoma City.

Everybody else, except for jmfcst,

Doubt God all you want, but I know whom I have believed and am convinced that He is able to keep that which I've committed unto Him until that day when I go home to meet my Heavenly Father face to face.

jmfcst,

every good gift is indeed from above.  For we know that He works everything out for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.

That's too bad. I think it would do you good to get out of Oklahoma, especially if you've lived there all your life. Different states offer different perspectives. It's a wonderful thing.

Consider who you're talking about... K? .... I'll wait...

OK, now you see why that thinking is pointless for someone like Bushie?

This morning, I, of course, heard that I have a job offer on its way.  I confirmed that with my new manager and she said, "Yes, you will have an official job offer in your email tomorrow morning."  She couldn't tell me before the TA told me.  I will get up early again tomorrow and keep my eyes peeled on the email waiting for the job offer to come through, so I can take a glance of it, print it out, and electronically sign and accept it.

Tomorrow is my official last day as a temporary contractor.

This is true. I've lived in Connecticut, Virginia, and now PA. Moving around is a pretty good thing. Hell, it's possible that I could be adding Texas to the list by the summer.
