Mack's own internal just had him down by 6.

'More Rasmussen garbage.

Just no. Rasmussen is becoming less trustworthy all the time.

If Nelson only got 60% in 2006 running against Katharine Harris, and Obama runs poorly among seniors, this race was always going to be close.

How is it dumb to not take polls credible that have not had a very great track record in previous elections?

Because Rasmussen has polled pretty average, and has even polled left of average at times. And has been very accurate in the past. Come on. Rasmussen is very reputable. Don't be so butthurt.

Not to mention, both SurveyUSA and Quinnipiac destroyed PPP, even according to the biased Weasel Silver criteria (who coincidentally has no credibility after he flubbed numerous calls, including the people's veto in Maine) Yet strangely, PPP is held out as the be all, and end all on this far-left board.

Ok then, lets look at Rasmussen's horrendous record from 2010.

- It completely missed 4 Senate races (highlighted in yellow); 3 of those by 5 or more points.
- It had a Republican bias in 23 of 36 races.
- It missed 17 races by 5 or more points (in grey).

The most ridiculous one ever was the Hawaii one that showed the Republican only down thirteen and we must not forget the recent one with Perry being up in Wisconsin over the President. This particular poll on Florida almost looks like an internal, there have been no polls at all that have shown Nelson in the 30s.

I though Rasmussen's New York poll was pretty funny too...he had Cuomo winning with 51%.

Once PPP polls this race, Nelson will be ahead (albeit by a few points). Rassy is probably just following the Quinnipiac bandwagon here.

Yeah, he does that a lot. After PPP was the first to show Raese ahead of Manchin, that was Rasmussen's excuse to have Manchin trailing for most of the election.

Nice try, but projecting your inadequacies onto others won't work. :-)

Not sure if Mack is actually leading at this point, but polling done so far has at least shown that this will be a very competitive race. Has Nelson stated for sure that he's running?
