Greetings good people of Atlasia.

I have thought long and hard over a choice of running mate these past few days, and one individual stands out.  He is a relatively new member of the forum, but I think he brings an energy and vitality to the ticket to balance out an old-timer like myself.  He has proved to be a reasonable and well spoken member since he got here, and I think he has the skills necessary to be Vice President of the Atlas Forum.  Most importantly, he agrees with me that this forum needs a change, a Constitutional revision, and some activity at the top to function effectively.

I am of course speaking of my friend from South Dakota(and sometimes Washington), Alcon.  I am glad to have him on my team.

Ohhhh, Alcon. Suprise pick, but a good one.  You'll get my second preference.

Alcon? I don't know Mr. Chief Justice putting a Liberal on your ticket has made it harder for me to vote for you in February.

I would like to thank KEmperor for his introduction. It will be a pleasure and an honor running alongside him.

I thought about this decision for quite a while before finally accepting. I came to the Atlas Forum this past October and ever since then have had great respect for the leaders of Atlasia. One of the leaders who I have respected most is KEmperor, a leader who puts aside partisan politics when needed to do what is best for Atlasia.

I hope to bring to the ticket a sense of balance. I will be upfront that I am a left-leaning moderate, and a registered Democrat. However, I am sick and tired of the sense of partisanship that has caused us to get into the very messes we are in. I will not spend time on bickering or attacking, but rather focus on making decisions to improve Atlasia - not as a center-leftist but as a proud Atlasian.

I thank KEmperor for his nomination and hope to help him to bring sanity and leadership to this great country.

Thank you, and God bless.

Interesting indeed...I have to admit, you seem to be a reasonable candidate, if nothing else.  I'm gonna have to do some serious thinking about my voting this election...you'll probably have my second preference.

Well, I wanted to balance myself (a moderate republican) out with a moderate democrat.  My campaign is a non partisan one, and this provides a balance to the ticket that I feel is necessary at this point in time.

I understand that.  I just felt that StevenNick was more expirienced and qualified, esspecially if we are to inact structural changes to the government.  As I said, Alcon is a suitable choice, however.

I don't plan on it.  And I have already survived one assassination attempt, so you know I'm tough.

StevenNick should stay where he is at SoFA...I think he's needed there. Mind you, I'd like Peter Bell to stay as AG, but since he's off and running...

Alcon should be a fun choice. Smiley

So Nym isn't going to run? I wonder if we'll end up with a bunch of candidates like last time.

I consider both yourself and Alcon as good blokes, and I know you feel the same about Peter and myself. It seems like this will be a clean campaign, and I am grateful for that. Lets let Atlasians decide on policy sucesses, not personality flaws Smiley
