I have a bad habit of getting bored with timelines, possibly because I often do similar stuff. So I have a few new ideas.

1. Newt Gingrich is narrowly elected in 2012, and is entangled in even greater scandal in 2015. Chaos, the first female president, and the strongest third-party bid since 1912 come in a year.

2. The Reagan Revolution derails, and President Hart is elected in 1984. But can he avoid being the fourth incumbent to lose in a row?

3. The so-called Taipei crisis sparks the beginning of the Sino-American Cold War during the Perriello administration. Otherwise, pretty decent presidency, one which marks the beginning of prosperity (the economy was rough for most of the 2010s).

I voted 1 but I'd be glad to suggest others.

Haven't seen a Hart-centric timeline around these parts for a while. I voted for option 2.

2. I'd love to see the 80s under a Democrat. How he'd handle the collapse of the Soviet Union being the main reason.

A mixture of 1 and 3 - the events in 1 lead to Perriello's election in 2020, and a Sino-American Cold War in the 2020s.
