Bgwah, with the above Constitutional modificitions, it would be legal to do pass the exact details (What I posted two days ago but with more specific details) as legislation?

Would that be a more effective way to do it, or should it all be placed in the Consitution? It would seem to add a lot of unnecessary one off procedures that will never be used again if it were all placed there?

Thoughts?

It would only appear in the amendment's page... You could have the stuff you want permanately in the Constitution specified as "added to Article Whatever as Section Etc."

Looks good to me! (Though the end result, I feel, is set in stone. Sad)

I think that covers it all.

Anyway, looks like Marokai accepts as friendly, so 24 hours to object.

Is this going too far?

I object.

An objection will make this take longer, just FYI.

Going forward perhaps we can just assume you object to most amendments.

This is just too big of a change not to get a vote.

Well, okay then. We'll have to wait 24 hours for debate before we get to vote on the amendment.

While I've made clear my opinion that all senate seats should be "at large", I believe as long as we're going to have regional senate seats, said regions should decide how to elect their senators (provided they stay within the confines of the Atlasian constitution).

I don't know that switching the elections of class A and class B senate seats around will really accomplish much, but it will not be a deal breaker for me.

I encourage all senators to vote aye on this bill to ensure the regions are represented fairly in the senate.

One last time just to be safe. Are there any concerns with the wording regarding the transition. It is going to take a while to implement such a shift and if there is something that can be tightened, lets do it now rather than risk a mess later.

Aye

It's always made more sense to hold the At-Large Senate election and the Presidential election on the same date.
