Yeah, Bachmann seems to be slightly rising in Iowa ...

She's definitely been inching up in Iowa. Could last a little longer than we might expect if she comes in second or third. (Might also reflect a little bit of hard-right discontent with Gingrich's immigration position and other tactically moderate positions.)

She might've started running TV ads there recently.

Bachmann with 55% among 18-24 groups? No way? Huntsman at 4? No way. Fake poll.

18-24 year olds are a microscopic fraction of Iowa caucus voters.  There were probably only about 20 people in that subgroup in this poll, if that, so the MoE is enormous.

I tend to agree, though it's interesting to note she similarly cleaned up among 25-34 year olds with 44%. It's not impossible that both of the youngest age groups simultaneously gave huge MoE showings for the same candidate by chance, though it's equally arguable that Bachmann's anti-establishment image plays well among younger conservative voters.

For what it's worth, they also had good numbers for Bachmann among young voters in their previous poll, although not nearly as high as in this one.

It's not improbable that the sort of young people who would participate in a Republican caucus in Iowa would favor a far-right candidate.
