Dan Rather:

"This is CBS. In todays news, the final election results of the John Engle party's primaries in New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Iowa are in. John has taken comfortable leads in New York and Vermont, and Emperor was won New Hampshire, but in a suprise upset, Or has won John's home state of Iowa. With us is election correspondant Harry Mudd. Mr. Mudd, how do you explain this considerable upset?"

Mr Mudd: "There are several explanations. First, many of the voters who would have voted for John broke for spoiler candidate, former President Herbert Hoover, whose suprise return from the grave to the primary platform has shocked Altasia. "

Dan Rather: "Yes, that was last week's lead story. Now, any other reasons?"

Mr Mudd: "Yes. Also, Or's candidacy was helped because President PBRunsel's estranged cousin, PD, did not make an appearance in the Iowa primary. "

Dan Rather: "So Or's candidacy is a fluke?"

Mr Mudd: "No, no, not at all. Or's main point is choice - based off his Vice Presidential run. Remember Either/Or? They nearly won last time around. Also, John's platform of bringing 'light' is seen as much more popular in dark, wooded areas than in less dark areas like praries, deserts, and big cities. This lead to Emperor's suprise win in New Hampshire. John had his work cut out for him in New York. He was lucky, in my opinion - Emperor was not on the ballot and unpopular incumbent PBRunsel and his cousin PD were his only competition. By the way, I'm sure your anchorwomen would love to have some Venus drugs to enhance their beauty..."

Dan Rather: "You'd better talk to management about that. This...err... is CBS."
