McCain. At that point my concern was over foreign policy and I thought McCain was best on the issue.

I briefly supported Huckabee before that became cool but wound up supporting McCain by the time the primaries began.

I supported a brokered convention. this meant Romney in NH and Michigan, Huckabee in SC, and Romney again in FL. so close we were.

The unique misfortune of the Palestinian refugees is that they are a weapon in what seems to be a permanent war...today, in the Middle East, you get a repeated sinking sensation about the Palestinian refugees: they are only a beginning, not an end. Their function is to hang around and be constantly useful as a goad. The ultimate aim is not such humane small potatoes as repatriating refugees.

I decided in November '07 to change my party ID from LIbertarian to Republican just to be safe when I went to caucus for Ron Paul in January 2008. It turns out that they didn't even check it. I could have been from Honolulu and they would have let me caucus at the local high school on caucus night. After McCain won the GOP nod and Barr took the Libertarian nomination I said "no" to the 2008 election and did not vote.
