I'm not clear on what this is, is it like a mock nation or something? I'd like to participate, it seems interesting none the less.

Pretty much, yeah.  We have elections for President/VP, a Senate, a Supreme Court, and 5 Regional governments(States).

Hello maineman, I am President PBrunsel of Atlasia.

I hope you enjoy your time here at the forum and I will not ask you for a vote because I am not running for reelection. Smiley

you may as well fill out your remaining 13 posts by realizing which of Atlasia's dozen or so political parties you belong to.

First off, are you a liberal, conservative, libertarian, populist, or centrist? If you're a centrist, which way do you lean?

If you're a liberal (I suspect that you are, but you could be a centrist or perhaps a populist or libertarian), check out the following parties:

Democrats (pretty similar to today's democrats, liberal)
United Left (actually a coalition of small left-wing parties, mainly left-libertarian)
Farmer-Labor (Left-populist).
There's the defunct Independence and Radical Feminist parties as well, which you might co-opt.

Some centrist parties:
Freedom party (slightly populist)
Constitutional Union party (slightly libertarian)
Also, the defunct United Atlas Centrists, well, centrists.

Some conservative parties:
Republican party (a bit more classical conservative than the real-life republicans)
States Rights party (smallish Southern conservative party)
Liberty & Justice party (1 member - me. Right-libertarian).

There's also the Libertarian party, similar to the real-life Libertarians.

you can also stay as an independent-it is good not to tie yourself down sometimes, plus it means that partisan conflicts don't affect you too much. It is also good in making the gameplay less gluggy-if everyone is in a party, then whats the point in voting, we already know the winners Smiley
