Easily the best non-North American, non-Brit hard rock band.
(I added the "North" part to American because one could make a damn good case for Rush, even though I'm less of a fan)
I can't stand Rush because the vocals are soooooooooooo bad, and their fans are usually such douchebags. In fact I think this sums up the typical Rush fan pretty well:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eubi9YI2dKE
Is someone seriously bashing Rush!?
I'd seriously rather listen to Attack Attack! or Bring Me The Horizon than Rush (not quite My Chemical Romance though).

I'll admit that for all the well deserved ridicule of the infamous "
crabcore
" song, it actually starts off with a pretty good breakdown, and is pretty good from about a minute in to roughly 1:45, especially the breakdowns. So it's not really a bad song if you take out the clean vocals, synth crap and how hilariously stupid the band looks. Also as I noted before the lyrics are awesome.

About 30 seconds in the guitar work started annoying the f**k out of me. It got worse around 1:15. Once the vox kicked in it was unbearable.
You should listen to stuff with
melody
and
good songwriting
, not guitar wankery and awful vox (the vox in both of those songs are WAY better than either Rush or Megadeth and are far from just "mindless screaming" or whatever.)
If you seriously think that so-called "guitar wankery" is the only motivation for why people like metal music then you are seriously closeted.
But, BUT, I will say that the two songs you posted are surprisingly in pretty good taste for what I expected from you. Especially the second one.
So congratulations, you have won a little bit of respect from Mechaman. Now the only thing you have left to do in life is
win back the old man's respect.

At least AC/DC and Rush have intelligible lyrics as opposed to "AAAAAAAWAAAAAAAOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAA MOSHPIT"

Intelligible. Otherwise his post would make literally no sense due to including "Rush" and "intelligent" in the same sentence.

Exactly.
Though some of the earlier AC/DC songs are a little witty.

After
Who Made Who
(their first post Bon Scott best of album) in 86, everything they've done has varied from trite to annoying. Even more annoying is the practice of classic rock radio format driving the same dozen+ songs into our head every hour on the hour. I could die quite happy if I never here You Shook Me All Night Long again. That's a song I loved in high school, college and law school, but stopped enjoying quite so much after litterally the 3000th+ time I heard it played on the radio.
That said, I still crank Whole Lotta Rosie up to 11 when it comes on.....

It's why I almost never listen to music on the radio. It sucks at picking songs I like.

The unique misfortune of the Palestinian refugees is that they are a weapon in what seems to be a permanent war...today, in the Middle East, you get a repeated sinking sensation about the Palestinian refugees: they are only a beginning, not an end. Their function is to hang around and be constantly useful as a goad. The ultimate aim is not such humane small potatoes as repatriating refugees.
