Regardless of who you think will win in New Hampshire, do you think the winner there will win the nomination in the end?

obviously, it depends on who wins NH.  If Romney, no.  If a nonRomney, yes.

NH misses: Hart, Tsongas, Buchanan, McCain 2000, Hillary.
SC winner has always won the GOP nomination.

1st time for everything but based on track record, SC is more important.

I think the winner of the New Hampshire primary will be the Republican nominee, but the two are not necessarily correlated.

Reading the 3012 boards dulls one's sense of irony.

Seriously. How many times can we read about the Obamachine 3000 pulling ahead of the Reagantronix QLZ in the race for Mars Mutant Colony's 48 electoral votes? Sheesh!

Romney winning IA or not-Romney winning NH are the only two events that could decide things early. The former suggests conservatives waving the white flag and settling on Mitt. The latter moderates give up on their party and let the conservatives go down with the ship.

NH doesn't matter unless a non-Romney wins it.

Romney will probably win, but it will be his only win before Florida, where he will be destroyed. So not much effect. But if he loses in NH, he's probably done then and there.

Nope, and I don't think you could say this about any individual January contest, for that matter. With such a long primary season (and, in particular, the three-week gap in February), the momentum from the early contests really won't have too much of an effect.

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm praying for another black-yellow majority, and for the SPD to get shattered.  It's exactly what it deserves.
