I'm fine with this, as long as we don't ignore it for to long after Christmas.

I cede interim chairmanship to Marokai, and due to that, I wish to run for full time chair.

I'll open a voting booth and PM all members of the NPL tomorrow, January 4th. So far, Teddy and I are the only contenders for the Chairmanship. If anyone wishes to run, say so before tomorrow evening.
Once a chairman is decided, we'll come up with some general guiding principles. After that, I'm sure the next Presidential race will begin taking shape and there will be plenty of room for our commentary.

With 9 votes for me and one vote for "The Interim chair is running for full-time chair?" (Thanks, Teddy
) I'm officially elected the Chairman of the Non-Partisan League.
Do people actually want to deal with the name, first? Since plenty of people have complained about it, I'm open to changing it to something else, provided that it's a decent name.

Pretty sure this was mentioned a while back, and it brought back memories of a certain former poster IIRC.

I like the name actually, similar to the right-wing party in Vancouver.... or was it the left-wing one? Either way, the name is good as-is IMO.

One of Hamilton's early ventures in Atlasia was the "Atlasian Reform Coalition." It eventually evolved into the Populares.
I'm not opposed to the name, though, if others like it enough.

"Reform Caucus" sounds too... boring. What about the "Non-Partisan Alliance for Reform" (NPAR); it could be called the Non-Partisan Alliance or the Alliance for Reform for short. Or does that sound too much like the current name?

A lot, if not most of us joined after Hamilton. Can we not just move on?

I like the idea of dropping Caucus/Party from the name. Perhaps the "Movement for Atlas Reform" (MAR) ?

I must insist that I still like the name we have, and fail to see why we are changing it; plus why are we suddenly so "reform"y? I oppose the name reform. If we are to go into something other than NPL than we need another alternate name beyond "reform".
Other suggestions included but are not limited to
Liberal-Conservative
Progressive Conservatives (just as much hamiltonian stigma, with triple the making sense)
Moderate
Pasta (did I mention I'm hungry, but we have done as much in the name of pasta as we have, reform)
Centrist
Centre-Right
Balance (Caucus of)
Regular
Non Crazy

Seconded. And if we ever became a party, than "Non-Partisan League" wouldn't be a bad name. It is just silly when it is entirely within a party. So I guess just keep it as is and hope.
