End of Newt's surge? Rise of Romney?
Santorum - 31% (-2)
Romney - 30% (+3)
Gingrich - 16% (nc)
Paul - 11% (nc)

Too bad. At least Obama gets a weaker opponent in the general now.

Not really. If Romney does become the nominee, the weaknesses were always there, and even suspected to be there. It;s just that the primary campaign has made them more obvious. Romney might be able to win the general election, but he'll need for the economy to start tanking to do it. Then he might be able to win because Obama will be the incumbent who will get the blame. Thing is, Mr 1‱ could still lose it even then.

If Santorum wins Michigan, or when he wins Washington, either way, he'll bump back up a bit.

I plan on getting as many people out for him as I can. Fortunately, my girlfriend's family is huge and mostly conservative Catholics, so that will help.

I'm surprised by Newt slipping but it helps Santorum remain as the Anti Romney...
Romney - 32% (+1)
Santorum - 28% (-1)
Gingrich - 14% (-1)
Paul - 12% (+1)

Santorum has completely collapsed, and this is even before the reaction to Mitt's double has been factored in. It's over.
Romney 33% (+2)
Santorum 25% (-1)
Gingrich 16% (+2)
Paul 11% (-2)

Last two days:
March 1:
Romney 35% (+2)
Santorum 24% (-1)
Gingrich 15% (-1)
Paul 11% (NC)
March 2:
Romney 35% (NC)
Santorum 24% (-1)
Gingrich 15% (+1)
Paul 11% (NC)
Romney's failure to gain today makes me happy. Hopefully he has reached the peak of his surge, and will start declining.

Paul's now so embarrassed by his poor showing that he's removed his name from the poll.
