Gingrich 31% (-2)
Romney 22% (-1)
Paul 8%
Perry 7% (+1)
Bachmann 6%
Santorum 4% (+1)
Huntsman 2%

In the last week Newt is down 6, Santorum is up 1, and Huntsman is up 1.  Everyone else is flat.

That's not statistical noise; Newt is wounded, and both the media and his rivals are scenting blood.

Newt down 8 points in about as many days. And Romney seems to be benefiting no less than any other candidate.

As much as i'd like to buy it unconditionally, there's still a house of cards element to santorum's support. If he doesn't win MI he's on a definite downward arc entering super Tuesday....

Other than the last line, I agree with the previous post. It just doesn't seem likbe newt is dropping enough in numbers to drop out anytime (too) soon.

Now that Rick Santorum has dropped out, can we close this board now? There really is no point in keeping track of primary polls at this point.

Sheesh, what's with people wanting to shut down boards all of a sudden?  If pollsters want to keep taking primary polls, and people want to keep posting them here, why not let them?  There's no reason to close the board.

Besides, the twilight of the 2008 primary polls board was a time of great introspection.

I want to run through wildflowers in soft-focus with Dick Bennett

Let's not stop people from posting stuff like that here.

We should probably at least unstickie the thred.
