inb4 Santorum takes the lead for good.

I doubt that if Santorum takes the lead it will be good.  We could easily have another four or five lead changes the way things have been going for the GOP this time.

Paul will get a bump if he wins Maine today.

No bump for you!

Honestly, Gingrich needs to go hard after Santorum in the debate on Wednesday, rather than focus on Romney, which he'll probably try to do. The only way Gingrich can still win is if he completely deteriorates Santorum enough to once again by the "Anti-Romney" choice. He's not going to be able to make this a two-way race between himself and Santorum, try as he might.

Gingrich can't win.  All he can do right now is affect which of Romney and Santorum win.  So it's no surprise that a Romney supporter is saying he needs to attack Santorum, just as I hope he'll attack Romney.  Personally, I think Newt's focus will be on attacking the media again. Wink

Well, it's over. Good job Santorum.

Too bad.  At least Obama gets a weaker opponent in the general now.

Not really.  If Romney does become the nominee, the weaknesses were always there, and even suspected to be there.  It;s just that the primary campaign has made them more obvious.  Romney might be able to win the general election, but he'll need for the economy to start tanking to do it.  Then he might be able to win because Obama will be the incumbent who will get the blame.  Thing is, Mr 1‱ could still lose it even then.
