Jmfcst is a good guy but have to go with Joel Osteen... I watch his sermons every once in a while, very genuine and uplifting, would be a great leader

I actually kind of like Osteen now after seeing a few of his sermons on YouTube. They're kind of similar to the type of sermons at my church. The only thing I don't like is that he wears a suit and tie. But I recall jmfcst doesn't like him too much.

I know a few folks who dislike him for not citing scripture as much as some others

True, but there's hordes of other televangelists and megachurch preachers just like that who have a far more vile message. He's pretty harmless in comparison. Not that I would ever go to his church.

Besides remember who his opponent is in this matchup.

My only problems with Osteen is that he appears to be getting rich off of spreading the word of God, which I question somewhat.  I also disagree with him and jmfcst on social issues, but Osteen's a pretty down-to-earth guy, so I voted for him.
