United Russia (ER) - Putin Party. Full of corruption. "Social Conservatives"
CPRF - Commies. Marxism-leninism, patriotism, socialism
LDPR - Another KGB project. De-jure: Liberal Democracy
                                             De-facto: National Communism, conservatism, anti-globalism
Patriots of Russia: No impact at all - minor leftist party only represented in regions. Social Democracy, Patriotism, Centrism
Right Cause: In 2011 did even worse than Patriots. Liberalism, Neo-liberalism, Liberal Conservatism
Fair Russia: So-called CPRF spoiler. Social Democracy
Yabloko (Apple): Social Liberalism, Social Democracy. Were powerful in 1990's, lost most of their support in 2000's, now out of Duma (altough they did good in 2011)

Putin is scary, but bush (and Medvedev) seems like the kind of guy you'd like to have a beer and watch the super bowl with.  They're more down-to-earth than Putin.  I hope I'm as badass as newt when I get to be his age, and I hope I can kick as much ass as he can in debates with my socialist buddies at 70.
