Would your vote change?

No. Edwards would win, though.

I'd vote Edwards but wouldn't be nearly as enthusiastic.

Cheney is slightly to the left of Bush on social issues.  Edwards would have been eaten alive (far worse than Kerry).

If it wasn't for the heart problems, Cheney probably taking PA, WI, and possibly MI as well as what Bush carried.

...maybe.  Cheney actually comes across quite well when he's in a public forum, debate, giving a speech, etc.  His "growly old man" image has been blown out of proportion.  He's smarter than Bush, and more libertarian.  He'd have my backing; a more enthusiastic vote than the one I cast for Bush, to boot.

Cheney has an extremist voting record and all the Halliburton mess would cost him. But the debates...we would only have seen Kerry eat Bush once.

Cheney wins, a bit bigger than Bush but not a landslide. Wisconsin and New Hampshire seem ripe for taking.

Edwards looks better than Kerry, but that's it.

And image... let's just say it's pretty bad all around.

When I saw the thread heading, I thought of Bush/Edwards vs Kerry/Cheney. Now that's an election I'd like to see.

No I would have been a bit more excited about Cheney because my Grandfather once worked for him hah.

If we're talking who would win it'd depend if 9/11 happened during a Cheney administration or something incredible happen and Bush went from President to Vice-Presidential candidate. If the former is the case then Cheney wins all the Bush states and picks up a few Kerry states. However, if the latter is the case then it'd be a tough race for Cheney to win.

Cheney couldn't have mobilized the religious fundamentalists the way Bush did. Since Cheney thus couldn't make up for his unpopularity, Edwards would probably win.

Cheney would do less well in the South than Bush did, but would do better in the Interior West and N.H. than Bush.

I think Cheney would have won 283-255. I think Chney would have won Minnesota, Michigan and Maine. I think Edwards would have won Florida and Iowa and Possibly Virginia, In that case it would be a 270-268 Cheney Victory. Personaly I would vote for Cheney over Bush any Day.
Haliburton would hurt Cheney but Liberals could not paint him as Ideoligical simpieminded southern idiot. Edwards would not be hurt by the Swifties but I think they would still come to light.

Did you watch the Vice-Presidential Debate?

Point Proven.

Cheney wins 52-47.  And takes PA.

If you look at the polls Cheney is unpopular as VP. And about the debates, the VP debates favoured Cheney, but not by much. Mondale was a better debater than Reagan, but he still lost pathetically. Edwards would have had a strong enough lead anyway.

I'd be more happy with Cheney.  The fact that Edwards is a pathetic campaigner would help.

Edwards is a pathetic joke who did nothing but serve 6 years in the Senate. But if 48% of the country will vote for John Kerry, I'm sure Edwards could get about 45%.
