"Tip" implies the GOP nominee will make this state close like 2000 and 04 again. Not impossible, but not likely either. Even then it's kind of moot overall; if NM is within a point or two then the GOP nominee is probably already over 300 EV.

Johnson running as a Libertarian would hurt the Republican, not help...

It'd be a bit more nuanced than that, and he'd draw from both -- but yeah, it'd hurt the Republican more than it would help.
