In the context you did so, yes.

You *should* already know the answer, because it *should* have said so in the notification of your infraction points:
Your obsession with Gustaf is creepy and annoying, and bumping 9-month old threads about him with no explanation is low-level trolling. Hence the 2 points.

Joe nailed it on the head. When you bump a thread simply for the purpose of trolling, it is trolling and will be infracted as such. So, I suggest you stop your weird obsession with Gustaf on boards that I moderate before it gets you into more trouble.

I'd hold the same standard for anyone. If somebody started bumping old threads because they recently had a new-found dislike for you, I would infract it as well.

I request that you not do so. I follow the example of Stephen the Martyr:
Quote from: Acts 7:59-60
As they stoned him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” He fell to his knees, shouting, “Lord, don’t charge them with this sin!” And with that, he died.

Can you stop cheapening the Christian tradition with this nonsense?

How is this cheapening it? Did jmfcst cheapen it with his similar habit of Bible quoting?

Well Jesus also said not to resist and "turn the other cheek" which is why I've quit reporting posts. Do you think I should start reporting again therefore?
Also one of the pastors at my church in a sermon compared the point in 1 John 4:20 to a time when she was rude to another girl at lunch time in 7th grade and was overwhelmed with guilt...but I don't think middle school bickering is comparable to what was in mind.

That's up to you. I encourage everyone to report things they feel are ToS violations. And we're entering the busiest season for me workwise, so I won't be reading most threads (I doubt I'll be on much for the next 2 weeks. So, unless it gets reported, it's likely to go unseen (at least by me).

Inks, you claim to be a Christian. So which do you hold higher, the teachings of Jesus Christ, or the TOS of this message board?

Jesus did not advocate that government officials disobey the laws and replace them with only applying mercy in every case.
If you truly believe these moderator actions are unChristian, I'd encourage you to ask your pastor and tell me what he said.

What's your opinion of the government and military officials in Libya who decided to disobey the law (Gaddafi's decrees, which were law under his regime) and apply mercy against those he was ordering to be slaughtered?
I can name hordes of blatantly unChristian moderater actions, most obvious being giving jmfcst a 10 point infraction for making a bad joke and obscure reference, which is like giving someone a 10-year sentence for shoplifting.

Were his laws laws that were in line with moral principles or simply to keep him in power? If we had a part of the ToS saying we are to ban all black posters, I wouldn't enforce that, because that is hateful. Our laws under the ToS are for the most part Amoral (with the exception of perhaps profanity and sexual topics).

Segregation was considered in line with moral principles and violating it immoral by most of its supporters.

And they were wrong.

It'd be kind of a weird question after our conclusion to Advent service..."Hey great sermon! So anyway I have a question about this message board I post on..."
And anyway no pastor at my church has a degree in theology or any type of formal religious or seminary education.

OK, well, then I am going to stand by my understanding of Christianity and say that enforcing the rules which have been entrusted to me to enforce does not violate my Christian principles. I wholeheartedly forgive everyone who breaks rules on my board, but I still must enforce them as an officer of Dave's will.

What's most hilarious and ironic about that is what government officials obeying the law did to Jesus.
Inks, what do you think a bouncer at a strip club (an officer of the strip club owner's will) should do with a bunch of conservative Christian protesters interfering with the club?

Yes... equaling Jim Crow and Gaddafi's regime with internet forum rules.
Are you stupid or are you just trolling?

The Roman officials had no law to base what they did to Jesus on. The Pharisees certainly weren't following God's law, they were following their own version of it.
A bouncer at a strip club should kick them out - it's private property, and they have no right to interfere on the strip club's property. They can protest outside of the club as long as local ordinances allow so, but if I were a lawyer and the club came to me because they got sued for kicking the protesters out, I'd represent the club in court.

Tell, me, BRTD. What is unChristian about infracting someone for trolling? Give me a specific reason it's wrong for me, as an authority on this forum, to do so.
