I'd appoint him Sec of Defense.

oh, more seriously, would Ron Paul continue prosecuting him?  EDIT: a quick Google search says Paul once called Manning a "hero", so, maybe not.

HE is a traitor, he could have put American lives in jeopardy. He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

George W. Bush is a war criminal, he did put millions of non-American civilian lives in jeopardy. He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of International Law.

How can he be a war criminal? As far as my understanding of International law goes, its those who lose who are war criminals, and those who win have their records expunged.

While that may be the practice, I believe we decided after WWII that starting a war of agression is something that's persecutable under International Law, so you know, if you'd want to be consistent,...
Anyway there are way more reasons to hang W. by the neck until dead, than you'd have to do to Manning what's being done to him.

I suppose American lives are worth more than others?

I want him to get a fair trial and properly sentenced if he did indeed commit crimes.  (non-knee jerk anti-American answer)

No.

He should be given a medal and then given a high level intelligence position.

If he is found to have broken the law, he should be given a reasonable punishment. That's how this whole "law" thing works.

Not that I think he did anything morally wrong, but it's pretty hypocritical for people on the one hand to complain that his constitutional rights are being ignored and other hand argue that he shouldn't be charged for breaking the laws he did break.

I don't care about his constitutional rights being violated because they are constitutional rights, but because I believe that they should exist.

No, but I do think some punishment is needed. A year in prison and a hefty fine sounds good.
