Bad news for Huntsman to see Gingrich bleeding so much support in Romney's direction.

This primary may end up being dreadfully boring.

So how much if at all will Romney and Paul attack each other in the next 3 weeks?

The results without Rick² and Michele are Romney 37, Paul 21, Gingrich 20, Huntsman 15

So if Romney wins Iowa, he'll win NH.

If Paul wins Iowa, everyone and their dog rallies around Romney to stop Paul, and Romney probably wins NH.

I think the only way Romney even faces a real race now, is if Perry comes in 3rd in Iowa and turns into the Southern candidate.

Agree generally, but this is just the first few polls following the first sustained bump in Paul's numbers.  Not sure he's done yet or if the momentum effect will kick in.  Don't count out Huntsman, either, he's making inroads and I think the default anti-Gingrich is Romney, but those voters might shift.

He won't bother unless it looks like Paul is actually going to win New Hampshire. He'd be fine with Paul winning Iowa.
