It would be a good reason to vote Green. Luckily Maria Cantwell is opposed, so I'll be able to vote for her without feeling completely terrible (WA basically banned third parties from general elections).

SOPA is one of those issues that really shows you which politicians (of both parties) are part of The Problem...

In America, you hear a lot about the American Dream and upward mobility, or that anyone can make it big if they work hard and have a good idea...

The internet is basically one of the last places that's actually true. It shouldn't be surprising that The Establishment wants to crush upward mobility* and innovation. There's only so much room at the top of the mountain, after all.

*exceptions will be made for beautiful people willing to marry into wealthy families.

How will I be able to watch TV shows that aren't on Hulu?  I'll obviously still support Obama, but this is one asinine bill.

How? You must use the media's dinosaur format. Innovation must be avoided, don't ya know?

I'm willing to do the "lesser of two evils" thing to some extent (heck, I have a red avatar don't I?) but SOPA is just too much to make up excuses for.

I think there were will be electoral repercussions if Obama signs it. And really, what are the unions gonna do? Endorse Mitt Romney instead? Roll Eyes

Piracy is great.  You moralfriends are just too afraid of the internet police, and of the consequences never being the same.

Ahh yes, stealing from peoplel is great, because if ABC doesn't have money to make movies, I'm sure they'll just keep doing it with funding from their own pockets because seeing children smile makes them happy and that's what it's all about.

LOL! I wouldn't expect anything less from the guy who waited until his 21st birthday to drink a beer.
