I'm not saying this because I don't like him, but because I don't know much about him, but what exactly did he do, other than give universal health care to Canada that makes him so great? Not that that isn't good in itself.

Except for dabbling in eugenics theory in university, and thinking homosexuality was a disorder (that shouldn't be criminalized, however), he was one of the greatest politicians in our history. He really brought Saskatchewan out of the dark ages, and implemented a genuinely socialist government there without going into deficits.
