What's a map look like?

Use this to make it: http://www.uselectionatlas.org/USPRESIDENT/evcalc5.php?year=2004&pop_per=1

I think George Washington would have to come back from the dead and endorse Jefferson for him to win. But since under this scenario that could very well have happened, I vote Jefferson / Jefferson.

My analysis: Lincoln gets pounded with negative ads for flip-flopping on slavery. And Jefferson gets pounded with negative ads for ... not flip-flopping on slavery.

Isn't that the 2000 election map with colors reversed?

I'd vote for Jefferson but I'm not sure who'd win. I think Jefferson woud in the end, becuase Lincoln has much more people hating him than Jefferson.

I kinda like Jefferson but I doubt I'd vote for him. Besides he wouldn't run in todays political conditions.

I'd vote for Jefferson. I'm not sure who would win.

Lincoln might get the black vote, because he's 'the great emancipator' and Jefferson had the whole slave owning issue. Hard to say.

Jefferson would get the NRA endorsement. So the pro-gun crowd would go for him. The anti-gun crowd would take Lincoln unless he took a pro-gun stance too.

Then there's the whole fame thing - each of them has big name recognition, but who in history is looked upon more favorably? Lincoln might have some of his Civil War actions brought up in ads, so that could be a detriment to him, but he is still very well loved.

Lincoln/Lincoln

African-American turnout would be sky high.  Also, nearly every person who believses slavery should be illegal would vote for him.

Anyone who believes Lincoln was a tyrant towards the South should read this quote of his: "There is too much disposition, in certain quarters, to hector and dictate to the people of the South, to refuse to recognize them as fellow-citizens. Such persons have too little respect for Southernors' rights. I do not share feelings of that kind".

I don't care hat he said. I care what he did.

Lincoln wouldn't get the black vote as long as he had an R next to his name.

What makes you say that?

Well I figure Indiana has farmers and fairly lax gun laws, which would favor Jefferson.

Lincoln, I'd get photos of Jefferson and Sally Hemmings.

Being as that affair was created to stain Jefferson and probably never happened then it would be doubtful you could get anything.
