hmmm

That reminds me, I am out Bacon and need to get some. Can only have sausage so many days of the week before that starts wearing on you and then of course you just gotta have some bacon.

Atleast two more days and some change before I could do anything, or is it one day and some change? counts on fingers 1, 2, 3 days from 3:27 this past afternoon, so two days and some change it is. Tongue

What makes each candidate think that he is a better potential PPT than his opponent?

One of the biggest ideas coming forth this session is the possible introduction of committees. Since I think it is a good idea (it's mine, after all Tongue ), I'd like to be able work things out right.

I have good relations with most Senators and can be trusted to run an active and parliamentary Senate.

The Northeast region deserves the PPT spot. With four Northeasterners in the Senate, the opportunity for this region should not be passed up. Has it been years since a Northeastern PPT?

Change is needed to keep this legislature thriving and interesting. It is one reason you will be seeing a new Northeastern Senator replace me soon. Leadership and legislators ought not get too stagnant. Marokai could make a good PPT, I'm sure, but he will still be here next session. Vote for me because change is good! Smiley

Due to a personal situation (not my place to share), I don't think Marokai will not be quite as active for the next day or two, so may or may not respond to the question.

For the record, I think we have two active, solid choices here, which is nice. All I'll say on behalf of Marokai, since he isn't here, is that when he managed the PPT position back in 2009, even though I greatly despised him, I remember him doing a remarkable job.

I echo the words of Tmthforu94 in that we have two great choices for PPT here and I am leaning towards Marokai (sorry, Napoleon, I just want someone with a bit more experience at the helm of the Senate :S) but I think whoever wins, we'll have a great session.

Thanks Tmth. But I'm okay so far, despite the problem. Smiley

As Tmth said, I served as PPT in the latter half of 2009, and did so very well. I am active, and hopefully, unlike Napoleon, I plan to run for re-election to the Senate, and if re-elected, I will be able to serve as a stable, and longer-term PPT than him.

Most important, I take the position of PPT seriously and I won't treat in a partisan manner. A good, working Senate is all I care about, partisan affiliation and ideological concerns aside. "Change" is good for political positions, but when it comes to the Senate, the only thing we should care about is doing a good consistent job.
