Peeperkorn You do realize turkey pretty much also supported everything in Libya yes? So why not do like turkey and make noise about France's past colonial atrocities.

It's insane to me that of all the countries in Europe that pursued ethnic cleansing policies in the 20th century, only the Germans seem to actually feel guilty about it. Same with countries where Fascists came to power.

Only the Germans had to pay,...

It just seems to me that this isn't going to end well for the people of Turkey and it's not going to do any favors for us in the West.  Perhaps I wanted to read a bit more into Xahar's post than was actually there, my apologies.

I certainly don't agree with him always (or even most of the time). But there's no denying that he's a massive improvement over what came before.

I can agree with that (and do) and still think that him moving away from the west in an attempt to once again "lead the Arabs" (or whatever his/their goal is) is a bad idea.

Hi!  How are you?  That's good. Yes I know the group in charge in Turkey are not Arabs, thank you.
