As for Goodfellas, I always remember that pithy review of David Thomson where he described it as like a musical but with bullets and violence instead of songs.

Haha, yes. That's exactly what it is.

This reminds me that I should probably watch Casino sometime.

Goodfellas is the best in my opinion.

But Gangs of NY, Taxi Driver, and Casino is a in three way tie for second place, I like them all equally.

Goodfellas, but The Departed, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and Casino are practically just as good. I chose Goodfellas because I have probably watched it more than the others.

The King of Comedy, Mean Streets, The Color of Money, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, The Last Temptation of Christ, and After Hours are good movies in their own ways.

I found Cape Fear and Shutter Island underwhelming, especially for Scorsese.

I have not seen Hugo, The Age of Innocence, Kundun, Bringing Out the Dead, Shine a Light, The Last Waltz, and New York, New York, and probably the rest of his filmography (can't think of anything else).

Classic Pesci performance but the movie is pretty "meh" beyond that and clearly one of Scorsese's weakest efforts. Come on, Robert De Niro as a Jew?

Can you imagine if he played the restaurant owner in Drive? LOL.

They're all excellent, though The Departed is one of my favorite movies.

The Aviator was really good IMO.

This.

Though in saying that I haven't seen the majority of the film here - but I have seen the most renowned. Not Casino however.

Unfortunately, I've only seen one on that list (Taxi Driver). I thought it was an excellent move, so that's where my vote went.
