Considering he's the only one who hasn't really been vetted. There's less than a week. Can it be done?!

We know he's unelectable, that he has a protectionist voting and legislative record, that he opposed even the voluntary use of E-Verify, that he was big on earmarks. But if you mean anything ethical, I doubt it.

Probably, but not in a significant way before the caucus.

Fortunately for Romney and Paul, though, the odds of Santorum "surging" into first in the next five days are about the same as a meteorite striking Mitt Romney dead on the day of the caucus.

Protectionist? Big on earmarks? No and no.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll try and get it passed on to Romney that he needs to stay indoors on caucus day.

I think Perry and Bachmann go all in on attacking Santorum.  Like he said, there are three primaries, and it's their votes he's drawing most.

Good news for Santorum is that both are, at this point, also-rans.

If Santorum wins Iowa, I will apologize profusely to Keystone Phil and leave the forum forever, seeing as how the US would be utterly irredeemable if Santorum won a state.

I hope Sarah Marie points and laughs at the cameras next Tuesday night. She'll have her revenge.

I have to agree with you, we should not be attacking Santorums family. I hated it when it was done to Palin. As for Santorum himself, I think his openly homophobic views and the fact that he was a three term "establishment" senator will hurt him. Still, he is going to place second to Paul in Iowa, and may very well receive a boost in South Carolina.

If Santorum is the nominee, and Paul is not running third party, I very well could support him.

That's a pretty convoluted way of asking to see what I look like. But I'll oblige. Here you go handsome x

Ok, I'll admit it: I laughed at the wording there.

And I doubt that that's you.

Can it be done? Yes. Will it? Not sure.

Iowans seem to be going for the candidates they know the least about. Perry's foot-in-mouth and Cain's alleged womanizing were unknown when they first rose. But Gingrich's consulting work, offbeat positions and multiple marriages were well, well known. If the Iowans really didn't know, they simply haven't been paying attention.

So what is it that all of us know about Santorum, but the Iowans, perhaps, don't? Perhaps his 16 point loss in Pennsylvania?

If that's not widely known, it could spread by word-of-mouth, fast.

I know this will probably sound like it's coming out of nowhere, since I've never had that much to say about Santorum.  But I actually always felt that Santorum would finish at least 3rd in Iowa; the strong religious conservative vote there, the time and effort he has put into the state and the facts that the other conservative candidates are pretty much dead, and the other top three candidates are two moderates and a libertarian-leaning Republican, make him, I think, suited well to finish strongly.  I'm skeptical about how much juice he'll have after that, but I'll be quite frankly quite surprised if he doesn't finish 3rd or higher next Tuesday

Perhaps Bachmann and Perry could send out an email telling Iowans to visit this internet url.
