Both are people for whom I have a certain personal respect but whose policy positions I believe would be seriously damaging if implemented, for somewhat different reasons.

I love my haters. I really do. They are some of the most hilarious figures on the Internets. Ron Paul wins? Ok. Here's my campaign: smile. Ron could talk the entire time. If I'm not satisfied with a 50 state landslide, maybe I'd campaign once a month.

Paul/Phil.  Phil easily wins.

I'd vote for Paul mainly because he'd be so stymied by Congress (which might even make some bizarre GOP-Dem tacit anti-Paul alliance) that his administration would be mostly harmless.
