Some big Romney counties still have some precincts to report. This is going to be very, very close.

Pulled the trigger on Santorum right before he rocketed to .99. And then some in Romney before he did. We may see a fight for first, but it won't be Paul

Based off Google, of the 5 counties not reporting, 2 of them went with Romney in 2008.

Paul still can climb to second in Iowa if Storey County goes his way. Santorum leads by 13 votes.

If Santorum wins in large part because Sioux County held to it's extremist nature and came in BIG for him (I suspected it would
).

Aren't Romney and Santorum going to receive the same number of delegates anyways since they are tied in the results? I would consider both of them to be the winners then.

Rick got 46% in Sioux County, so yes, "blame" the Dutch for Rick's good showing in Marion and, to a lessor extent, Jasper.

The winner gets a certain number of delegates then it is split.

I see. So the winner gets a few more just for being in first place, and the rest are allocated with PR.

Romney wins Polk County 29-22-22
Yup, Rove was sort of right. Paul was ahead in Polk earlier. I guess the Drake U area came in first.
As you'd expect, smaller precincts came in first. The more populous ones reported in the last batch. Romney is winning suburban areas that have the most voters.
Woodbury's largely missing Sioux City precincts. So far, Santorum won 7 Sioux City precincts to Romney's 3 and Paul's 1. But Romney won 3 of the 4 with over 100 votes.

Very surprised Paul goes from 24% in entrance poll to 24% in early counting to 21%.
