It seems that every debate has some epic hilarious gaffe from him, now I'm hearing about him talking about send troops back into Iraq. LOL. I'll give this guy credit for being more entertaining than Fred Thompson or Giuliani who were also jokes but incredibly boring jokes.

I feel sorry for the guy more than anything. He has long stretches of lucidity and in the later debates he's been fine 99% of the time, but then he goes and steps in it and can't recover.

If he just acted the way he has most of the time in the last month he would have won this thing...

Being fine 99% of the time means nothing when that 1% is an epic gaffe. It doesn't matter if Perry had a masterful debate performance the rest of the time in that one where he forgot the third government agency he wanted to abolish, that's the only thing people would remember regardless.

For his sake, I hope tomorrow's debate is a seated one.

I wonder what Rick's approvals are in TX.  They can't be close to good after he became the joke of the nation.

It says something about Texas when they voted for him as Governor not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES.

And let's not forget about GWB. Clearly intelligence is not a top priority for Texans when voting for governor.

The best part is whenever he goes after Romney you can easily tell that Romney is thinking something like "Oh man this guy is such a f**king clown.*

Why are they still letting him into New Hampshire debates? He's polling at 1% there.

Well I don't think Fred Thompson was ever barred from any debates.

It still seems silly not to allow Roemer but still allow Perry.

Well even though Perry will be a total non-factor in NH he did still somehow win counties in Iowa, just as similar joke who got probably close to what Perry will get Fred Thompson was still allowed since he pulled double digits and inexplicably came in third in Iowa (seriously, what were those people thinking? It was clear at the time that Thompson wasn't even trying.) And weren't Sharpton and Kucinich allowed in all debates in 2004 before dropping out?

What's making me disappointed now is realizing how much of a snoozefest the Obama/Romney debates will be. And the Vice Presidential ones probably as much since Romney will likely pick someone equally bland as his running mate.

Stockdale at least had the excuse of being an apolitical old. Rick Perry is just a dumb, which is why I love him so.
