I'll do a summary for the major ones (including the nationalist and NI ones) when my spreadsheet is done.

BNP- It would be scary if they won a seat. They won't, but they'll save deposits and 3rd place in some seats.
Respect- Have a chance at Bethnal Green and Bow with Galloway and will save deposits. Will probably get accused of collusion with the Lib Dems if they don't run against some of them or blamed for Labour re-elections if they do.
UKIP- Will save a fair number of deposits and will get a few 3rd places. Could damage some Tory chances, especially the more Europhile ones. I don't see any seats for them.
Greens- Will lose most of their deposits. May do well in Oxford, where they have councillors.
Peace and Progress- Vanessa Redgrave's new party. Will lose every deposit they put down.
Natural Law (are they still going?)- Will lose most, if not all their deposits.
Various Socialist parties: See Natural Law.
The Loonies: See Natural Law. Will add some humour though.

UKIP have a small chance in Thanet South and Boston & Skegness, and they might well poll second in both.

I expect most of the socialist vote to fall in behind Respect, who as you say have a chance in Bethnal Green & Bow.

Greens as ever will save deposits in Norwich, Oxford and Brighton; If they ask, I might put a sign up for them in my window even though I'll vote Labour.

BNP - *shudders* They'll do well in seats where they try to stir everything up again; Won't win fortunately.

Peace & Progress - hadn't even heard of this. It'll fail miserably considering that a seasoned political buff like myself hasn't heard of them.

Natural Law seem to be shutting down in recent years.

MRLP and RRLP - Does anybody know where they are standing since they're always a laugh?

Independent prospects:
Kidderminster doctor whose name escapes me will be easily returned in Wyre Forest.
Is Martin Bell doing anything this time around?

By socialist you mean Ex-"Socialist" Alliance/Millitant/Trots, right? "Respect" is looking more and more like a [Sunni] Muslim Sectarian party...

Edinburgh, some London constituencies. They saved a deposit in Bradford last time around, but that was only because theirs was the only White candidate on the ballot.

They should be able to hold their deposits in Ludlow and probably Leominster

I'll confess that I don't really follow the far left parties whatsoever. My reference was to parties such as Socialist Labour and the Socialist Allliance. It was at least my understanding that they threw their support behind Respect in the European elections, I thought they might well do so again.

The guru who was founding the various Natural Law parties has stopped doing so and has encourged them to shut down.  They were still on the ballot in a few States in 2004, but not as anything notable.  In some cases, the State partoes changed affiliation, but kept going. Hence, the Natural Law Party of SC became the Green Party of SC. (SC election law makes it a lot easier to take over a dying party than to start a new one from scratch.)

Peace and Progress are Vanessa Redgrave's (Yes, that Vanessa Redgrave, the actress, Guantanamo activist and the one who tried to argue the Chechen case after Beslan) new party.

News article here:

Official website:
http://www.peaceandprogress.org/

She'll probably run somewhere and lose her deposit.

I don't think Bell is doing anything, but he made a failed MEP bid in Eastern Region in June.

Vanessa Redgrave stood as a Trot candidate of some description (Revolutionary Socialist IIRC) a while back and lost her depost.
She's a joke*

*Ever noticed that it's always the Trots that look the most... well... Bourgiouse?

Okay, okay. Could one of you Brits explain to me what each of these parties stand for? I know BNP and a bit about UKIP.

Forward Wales - no deposits saved, except maybe in Wrexham if Marek campaigns strongly.
PC - see Al's "my predictions" thread.

forward wales - "Perhaps" one or two saved deposits but its unlikley.

Plaid - Good chance in Yns Mon, but potentially at risk from Labour in Carmarthan and perhaps Caernarfon, But in IMHO they'll make a +1 net gain.

Does this woman act anymore? I can't recall a single thing I've seen her in. She's got stuff on IMDB for the last few years, but I haven't seen any of it. Her daughter Jemma seems to be doing most of the acting recently (in a great irony considering her mother- as an MI5 officer in The Grid).

Colin, the minor parties

BNP- Anti-immigration party. Nazis in suits to all intents and purposes. Respect- George Galloway's party. A socialist, very anti-Iraq party, at least that's what they claim. Increasingly a Muslim one.  Total elected officials- 1 (A councillor in Tower Hamlets).
UKIP- Anti-EU. Also anti-immigration. Their original founder, Dr Alan Sked quit because it's increasingly a smarter version of the BNP.
Greens- Same as the US ones really. Did well in the Euro elections (because of PR)
Peace and Progress- See Respect, but more emphasis on human rights. Unilateral disarmers too.
Natural Law- Support yogic flying and other New Age stuff.
Various Socialist parties-
The Loonies- crazy, crazy people who run under invented names. Website here: http://www.omrlp.com/ Sticking up candidates against Blair (a woman named Boney Maroney) and Howard (Lord Toby Jug).
Pro-Life Alliance: Anti-abortion.

I dunno anything about Natural Law, but the "Pro-Life alliance" field some candidates (lose deposits). I *think* George Galloway is anti abortion, but I'm not sure if there;s anything to do with it in the respect platfrom.

I made some mistakes with Natural Law and the Pro-Life Alliance.

Veritas: Wherever Kilroy-Tan runs (it's reportedly Ashfield) he'll save his deposit and may well second place. As for every where else, they lose their deposit.
