I really expected Mittens to do better...36% isn't much of a stronghold at all.

It's a sad day for America when only one Protestant polls above 1% in a Republican primary.
Ron Paul isn't protestant? I thought he was Baptist.

Precisely. ONE Protestant is polling over 1%. That ONE person is Ron Paul.

The Mormons have a majority of the vote. Very, very distressing.

Does it really matter? Plus Mormons are pretty much Protestants. I'm not sure how else you would characterize them. Christian-Other?

He's barely doing better than his 2008 performance, and he's been running for President for over 4 years.

Not really very impressive from Git Rhymney, but then he isn't, is he?

Plus Mormons are pretty much Protestants.

No.

I assumed he was referring to Perry, since Perry is at 1% right now. Tongue

Damn, he must feel really lame tonight. He was once polling 18% there.

I cannot see Huntsman getting any kind of surge from this. Coming in third is not enough. South Caroline will not go for Huntsman. He may survive until Florida but it will still b difficult for him to place well there and that should be the end of him.

Correct. Both Mormons and Protestants would take offense at that characterization.

So will Jon put it all on Florida now? Will he go down there and taught his opponents that he's waiting for them?

Seeing more of a 37% number, as Romney is outperforming later results by more like a 5%-7% margin from 2008.
