I think it's going to cause poor comparisons to 2008's mania, and ultimately prove to be underwhelming. There is no way 2012's convention will have the same atmosphere as 2008. It would be wiser to jam-pack folks into a closed basketball arena rather than a less dense football stadium.

You'd have to be deep in the loony hack bin to not want see the President speak if you could.

I wonder if they will recycle those Greek Columns from Denver to make another Temple to the Gods?

It's in North Carolina. I wonder what percentage of the audience will be African-American? I can see it in the 30s-40s easily.

It's a political speech. Highly political, in fact, with a super partisan crowd. Not crazy that someone wouldn't want to attend if they don't see eye to eye politically.

Because everybody is so pleased with the results of the last three years hence an approval rating for Obama that is lower than Jimmy Carter's approval rating in January 1980.

That would be a hilariously disastrous outcome almost on par with the McGovern fiasco in '72.

And that's an effect of his acceptance speech in Denver?

I know it may be a hard concept for you to grasp, but Obama is not Jimmy Carter.

Romney will be accepting the nomination with Mount Rushmore as the backdrop, as he, of course, is the heir to the Presidents portrayed on that historic edifice.
